Training Courses

FUNDRAISING FOR SCHOOLS AND PRE-SCHOOLS

Securing additional funding and resources is becoming more important than ever for schools and pre-schools. A number of half-day training courses will be delivered by Stephen Wright at a variety of venues, details below. Places are limited on each course and must be booked and paid for in advance.

The course will enable schools and pre-schools to learn good practice relating to fundraising, for example, how to write an exceptional grant funding application, understand what grant funding sources are available and how to be persuasive and confident when approaching local businesses for additional cash or 'in kind' resources. The relaxed and informative session will help you prepare an application or appeal to stand the best chance of success. There will be an opportunity for delegates to share successful fundraising ideas and learn about new ones.

During Stephen's 12 years as an External Funding Adviser at Cheshire County Council, he wrote and advised on grant funding bids which secured over £ 7.5million into Cheshire for schools alone (eg. National Lottery and Government Grants). He also advised secondary schools on the sponsorship seeking process for Specialist Status bids and delivered a similar fundraising course as part of Cheshire's INSET programme. Testimonials confirm the quality of his training and advice.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: School Business Managers, Bursars, Heads, Deputies, PTA, Governors and Finance / Administrative Support Staff with a role in identifying and securing additional resources.
